RPP holding CWC meeting; Kamal Thapa not to attend

KATHMANDU: The first meeting of the elected central working committee of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is being held at the party office in Dhumbarahi Wednesday afternoon.

Newly elected Chairman Rajendra Lingden has called the first meeting of the elected working committee.

Chairman Lingden has invited the party’s outgoing Chairpersons Pashupati Shumsher Rana, Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani and Kamal Thapa.

However, Thapa will not attend the meeting, party sources said.

Meanwhile, in today’s meeting, members from the Thapa camp are raising the issue of what they said “Nirmal Niwas’ interference” in the internal politics of the party.

During the meeting, Chairman Lingden will present the agenda of the elected working committee.

Meanwhile, Chairman Lingden said he would not sit on former Chairman Thapa’s chair as a gesture of honor.

According to party leader Mohan Shrestha, a new room has been set up at the RPP central office for Chairman Lingden.
