NC President Deuba interferes in party convention: Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh has accused Prime Minister and party President Sher Bahadur Deuba of directly interfering in the ward convention of the party.

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, leader Singh alleged that the party leadership abused the power and interfered in the party’s local conventions.

Stating that the election of ward and regional representatives is underway in his constituency Sarlahi Constituency No. 4, he accused President Deuba of abusing the power to influence election.

“The abduction of the polling officials, the firing and intimidation of the activists are not hidden from anyone,” Dr Singh said, claiming such acts are protected by the party’s senior leadership.

He also accused Prime Minister Deuba of putting direct pressure on Saptari 4 and Rautahat 4.

Dr. Singh also warned that the unethical and undemocratic means adopted for power would not be valid anymore.
