We won’t let party split again: RPP Chair Thapa



KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Kamal Thapa has said that it’s high time that people should hit the streets to reinstate the monarchy.

Addressing the inaugural session of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s (RPP) which kicked off in Kathmandu today, Chairman Thapa said that people should take the initiative to reinstate the monarchy to bail the country out of the present crisis.

He further said that the ongoing general convention of RPP is the unity general convention.
“This general convention is the last general convention. We have already made a resolution that we won’t let the party split in the days ahead,” said Thapa.

He went on to say that this general convention will endorse the party’s ideology that determines the future political course of the party.

“In case the leadership was not elected through the general convention, we would go for the democratic practices to elect the new leadership and steer the party in a consolidated manner.

Thapa also stated that democratic forces should not be scared of the monarchy.
