KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has reinforced the need of forging national unity for the sake of democracy, sovereignty and independence.
“It is high time that all nationalist forces came together for peace and political stability,” he said at the inaugural session of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s General Convention at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu, Wednesday.
Prachanda said despite different political ideologies, RPP and the Maoist Center have one thing in common, that’s patriotism.
“I am a nationalist like you. But the only difference is that I cannot support your political ideology,” he said adding, “We can be proud of our history, and the role and contribution of the monarchs to keep the nation intact and sovereign.”
