UML leader Badal claims party leadership through consensus

CHITWAN: CPN-UML Standing Committee Member and Coordinator of the 10th National General Convention Main Management Committee Ram Bahadur Thapa “Badal” has said that the party leadership will be decided on the basis of consensus.

Badal, who arrived in Chitwan on Thursday to attend the convention, said that elections for a few posts could be held.

He said that he has not yet decided on which post he will contest.

“We chose the leadership at the local level on the basis of consensus. At present, the party has concluded that the leadership of the Central Committee will be selected by consensus as much as possible,” he added.

Top UML leaders have started coming to Chitwan to participate in the convention.
