SC to start lottery system for case-allocation from December 1

Calls Full Court meeting on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) is set to hear the case allocating them to various benches through lottery system from December 1.

According to sources, SC administration has already informed the judges that preparations have been made to fix the case through lottery from December 1.

A full (Full Court) meeting of the Supreme Court is scheduled to be held tomorrow (Thursday) to decide on the implementation of the lottery system. All the judges at SC except Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana will be participating in the full meeting.

Earlier, a full court meeting held on Thursday had approved the rules and directives of the Supreme Court, which had a provision to determine the case through the lottery system.

Notice of the amendment of the Supreme Court Rules has also been published in the Gazette.
