Political imbroglio should be settled democratically: Chair Oli



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML chair KP Oli has said the current uncomfortable situation emerged in the politics should be settled through democratic exercise.

Inaugurating the third national convention of the Pariwar Dal on Saturday, he highlighted the need of citizen awareness and unity to propel democracy in a true sense.

“Democracy should not be made a subject of cheating others. We wish the court may keep its image as an impartial, trustworthy, independent, and dignified institution”.

“Court is not the place to write and amend the constitution; it is the place where constitutional interpretations are made”, Oli added.
Also speaking on the occasion, former Vice-President Parmananda Jha wished that the leadership of Pariwar Dal would work to serve the welfare and interests of the country and the people.

Pariwar Dal Chair Eknath Dhakal shared that they are organizing their general convention with the slogan ‘Let us end all forms of discriminations; build cultured, prosperous and inclusive Nepal’.

As many as 1,500 delegates from across the country are participating in the general convention.
