KATHMANDU: The weather impacted by the low pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea will gradually start improving from Sunday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
The weather in most of the places of the country is partly to generally cloudy with chances of light snowfall at some places of the high hilly and mountainous region due to the influence of the low pressure system that has developed over the Arabian Sea.
The weather has been hazy for the past three days. With the sun not shining, there is a feeling of increased cold. The minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius in the Kathmandu Valley on Friday morning at 11.1 degrees Celsius. It has gone down to 8 degree this morning. Not only has it been cold for three days but the pollution has also increased.
Senior meteorologist at the Department, Nirajan Sapkota said the influence of this weather system will gradually decrease from Sunday afternoon.
The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in most parts of the country with chances of light snowfall at some places of the high hilly and mountainous region and of light rain at one or two places in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces during this period.
