KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma has unveiled a concept paper on the transformation of the party and country.

NC Spokesperson Sharma, who has announced his candidature for the post of General Secretary at the party’s 14th General Convention, unveiled the concept paper at a function in Chitwan on Wednesday.

Sharma has said transformation in the party was a prerequisite for the transformation of the country. He emphasized the need for modified management of the domestic life of the party and its affiliates for the transformation of the party.

In the concept paper, he stated, “After the 14th General Convention, the NC should address and lead the country with the highest level of thinking and efficient leadership that possesses the relevant ideology, political capital, capability and clean image by ensuring that development projects are free from the conflict of wrong political intentions.”

Stating that the alternative of party in democracy was party itself, Spokesperson Sharma said successful parties in a democracy should be serious about self- transformation. He also mentioned that the achievements of the NC should be widely publicized after the 14th General Convention.

He proposed a 15-year blueprint and resolution for the country from the policy convention of the party after the 14th General Convention.
