Coalition Coordinating Committee in favor of quickly resolving crisis in judiciary



KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition’s Coordinating Committee, recently formed by the ruling coalition to support the government and under the leadership of NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel, has said prompt solution should be searched to end the problem and stalemate that has been plagued the Supreme Court for some time.

The coordination committee that met Tuesday said that the exiting problem should be resolved at the earliest to maintain the independence, dignity, credibility and public trust of the judiciary. The committee hoped all the concerned would take initiative to expedite the process.

The ruling five-party alliance formed an 11-member coordination committee to support the government on November 8. Nepali Congress (NC) leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-Unified Socalist Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, Upendra Yadav of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), among others are members of the coordinating committee.

Chitra Bahadur KC and Durga Paudel are members representing the Rastriya Janamorcha in the committee.
