At the program organized with the assistance from a university of Switzerland, orientation was provided to students and teachers on how the human loss could be minimized in the earthquake, according to school teacher Lekhnath Bhattarai.

Trainer and expert on earthquake, Shiva Subedi, informed the research had shown that the force concentrated under the surface of western belt of Nepal could cause earthquake measuring up to eight Richter scale.

As it is a natural disaster, it cannot be controlled but the loss it causes can be minimized with massive public awareness and preparedness.

It is helpful to teach students how the earthquake is measured and the structures get damaged with quake.
