Chief Justice Rana assigns 10 benches for today

KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has assigned 10 benches for 16 judges on Monday.

According to the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Rana has scheduled 298 cases of all types, including habeas corpus.

Even though he had not assigned a bench for him on Friday and Sunday, CJ Rana has assigned five cases to his bench today.

Supreme Court judges and legal practitioners have been urging Chief Justice Rana not to assign benches for them.

Even though Nepal Bar has been barring the Chief Justice from entering the court, CJ Rana has been entering the court through back door every day.
