Hydropower project assists in developing community building



MYAGDI: Super Ghalemdi Hydropower Project in Myagdi has provided Rs 1 million for the development of a community building at Narchyang village in Annapurna Rural Municipality-4, one of the project-affected sites.

Project’s Managing Director Man Prasad Kandel and promoter Abhishek KC on Thursday provided the amount to chairman of Annapurna Youth Club for the construction of a community building.

The amount was handed over at the presence of local levels’ representatives, project’s officials and local residents.

Managing Director Kandel said that the project is supporting for the people in the affected areas as part of the corporate social responsibility.

The project with the capacity of 9.14 megawatts is of run of the river type and the affected communities would get 10 per cent of the company’s share.
