Dordi-1 hydro project construction at final stage

LAMJUNG: The construction of Dordi-1 hydropower project underway in Lamjung district has reached a final stage.

The construction, which should have been accomplished earlier, had been delayed after the floods in the Dordi River incurred damages to the wall of the sand-trap and the stilling basin on June 15.

According to Project Manager Ujwal Silwal, the civil construction of the canal wall has been completed while that of the power house is at the final stage.

Similarly, the installation of electromechanical equipment has reached the final stage.

The construction work of the project will be completed by mid-January next year and start generating electricity, said Silwal.
The hydro project had started in 2074 BS.
