KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress central member Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that the people’s faith in the judiciary has declined due to the conflict in the judiciary.

Speaking at a program organized by the Human Rights and Peace Society in Kathmandu Tuesday, Dr. Koirala said that the people’s faith in the court has decreased due to the allegations made against the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Cholendra Shumsher Rana.

He remarked that the crisis should be resolved by the Chief Justice himself.

“Chief Justice Rana is the head of the judiciary, so it is his responsibility to protect the dignity and essence of the judiciary,” Dr. Koirala said, adding, “The Chief Justice should not be irrational even after seeing everything.”
