Oli wanted to do away with republicanism: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist-Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has accused UML Chairman KP Oli of trying to reverse the political change.

Speaking at a program at Kirtipur on Monday, Prachanda claimed that he had received information that Oli, after meeting some people of former King Gyanendra, was in a mood to throw away republicanism.

“In fact, he (Oli) was not in favor of this system and federalism,” Prachanda said citing Oli’s remarks.

“Oli used to tell me that he also did not like the quota system in the name of proportional representation,” Prachanda said.
