NEPSE increases by 55.50 points today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 55.50 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2837.61 points.

A total of 13.89 million shares of 232 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 7.82 billion.

Similarly, share prices of all sub-indices except banking increased on Sunday. Banking shares decreased by 0.16 percent.

Shares of the Development Bank increased the most by 6.54 percent on Sunday, while those of the trading, hotel and tourism, hydropower, and manufacturing sub-indices increased by more than 5 percent.

Similarly, the share prices of Chandragiri Hills, Hurja Hydro, United Insurance Company, Community Microfinance Institution, Lumbini Development Bank, and Panchthar Power Company have seen a positive circuit. Shares of Everest Bank decreased the most by 6.50 percent on Sunday. The highest turnover of Rs 310 million was recorded in Ankhu Khola Hydropower and Rs 280 million in Nabil Bank.

Similarly, 270 million shares of Everest Bank have been bought and sold today.
