UML Chair Oli inaugurates party’s municipal convention



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML chairman KP Oli has inaugurated the party’s municipal convention virtually from Thapathali based central office in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Ahead of the party’s 10th General Convention, UML is holding local level convention in all 753 local levels Tuesday.

Earlier, the UML conducted the ward-level convention across the country on October 23, except in the flood-hit areas.

As per the party’s new statute, 75 members will be elected in rural municipality and municipality committee, 85 in sub-metropolitan committee whereas the metropolitans will get 101-members elected.

In the meantime, the party has summoned its Standing Committee meeting on October 28 and Central Committee meeting on October 29.
