Dr Govinda KC warns of strike if CJ Rana does not resign



KATHMANDU: Medical education reformer and activist Dr Govinda KC has warned that he will take to stern protest if Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana does not resign.

Issuing a statement Monday, the senior orthopedic surgeon warned if Chief Justice Rana did not resign immediately to uphold independence and impartiality of the judiciary, he would declare programs of non-violent strike.

Dr KC demanded CJ Rana’s resignation alleging that the CJ engaged in improper judicial conduct, embezzlement, bargaining and corruption.
