Government withdraws Civil Service Bill from Parliament

KATHMANDU: The government has withdrawn the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2075 BS.

Instead of passing the bill, which was finalized by the State Management Committee of the parliament after a long discussion, the government withdrew it on Friday.

In a meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki presented a proposal on behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The UML continued its protest in the House today as well.

Withdrawing the bill means that the government is preparing to continue to bring ordinances.
