Bibeksheel Coordinator Pandey floats three alternatives to resolve dispute in party

KATHMANDU: Bibeksheel Sajha Party Coordinator Milan Pandey has floated three alternatives to resolve the dispute within the party.

Emailing a document to the central members, he put forward a three-point proposal to keep the party united.

Firstly, Pandey suggested to put on hold both the proposals presented by himself and Chairman Rabindra Mishra and move proceed as per the agreement signed during unification of the two parties. He added that it would be disastrous if both sides stuck to their guns.

Secondly, he suggested to form a task force to resolve the dispute. “Apart from the party chairman and coordinator, there are 128 central members in the party. Friends can find a solution from a different angle than where we are looking, so let’s form a task force,” Pandey said. He mentioned that the task force should be given seven days to set a common agenda.

Thirdly, Pandey suggested that both the chairman and the coordinator should resign and take their respective proposals to the general convention under the leadership of third member from the central committee.

Pandey also suggested holding separate legislative and policy conferences and provincial and central general conventions. He proposed holding the policy conference in Kathmandu on December 3, 4 and 5 and the provincial and central general conventions on January 8, 2021.
