Discussion among partners of ruling coalition underway in Baluwatar

Preparation to expand cabinet today itself



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the top leaders of the ruling coalition is underway at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar Thursday afternoon.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to expand the cabinet today itself by forging consensus among coalition partners.

The meeting is being attended by Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Nepal and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav.

Earlier, coalition partners held discussions on allocating seven ministries to the NC, six to the Maoist Center and four each to the Unified Socialist and the JSP.
