RPP General Convention update: 44 districts got Chairpersons elected

KATHMANDU: Rastriya  Prajatantra Party (RPP), like other mainstream parties including ruling Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-Maoist Center and CPN-UML, has been busy in getting the local leaders and the representatives for general convention elected and has already got the leadership elected in 44 districts.

Mohan Shrestha, a member of the Central Working Committee, informed that the new leadership was elected unanimously in some of the district conventions whereas some other places have carried out election to choose the leadership.

RPP is holding its General Convention from November 13 to 16.

The party has put forward the agenda of constitutional monarchy, unitary system of governance and reinstatement of Nepal as a Hindu nation and sensitized cadres and public to its agenda.

RPP has directed the lower committee to complete the district convention by October 6 and submit the active membership form by October 11. So far, new leadership has been elected in 44 districts, while the election in Parsa, Jumla, Gorkha, Mahottari and Ramechhap districts has been subject to dispute.
