NEPSE decreases by 73.05 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 73.05 points on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2685.41 points.

A total of 10.47 million shares of 227 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 5.12 billion.

Today, along with the market index, all sub-indices have also declined.

The market-leading banking sub-index fell 2.26 percent, while the finance company sub-index fell the most by 4.53 percent.

Similarly, the development bank sub-index declined by 3.81 percent, the non-life insurance sub-index by 3.62 percent, and the investment sub-index by 3.1 percent.

Similarly, the life insurance sub-index declined by 2.85 percent and the hydropower sub-index by 2.68 percent. Arun Valley Hydropower has led to a declining market.

About 150 million shares of United Modi Hydropower, 130 million shares of Himalayan Distillery, 128.5 million shares of Nepal Bank, and 120 million shares of National Hydropower have been bought and sold.

Similarly, the share prices of the three companies have increased today. Manakamana Smart Microfinance and Malung Khola Hydropower out of the three companies whose share price has increased have closed at circuit level due to an increase in share price.

Besides, the share price of Gorkhaj Finance has increased by 6.08 percent. Goodwill Finance is the biggest loser. Shares of United Idi Mardi & RB fell by 7.73 percent, Nepal Finance by 7.72 percent, Kalika Power by 7.71 percent, and Pokhara Finance by 7.20 percent.
