Pillion rider dies after being hit by tanker



KATHMANDU: A person has died after being hit by a tanker in front of Civil Mall in the capital on Friday. The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Sunita Khatri of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality.

The incident took place when a tanker,  Na 2 Kha 4222, hit a motorcycle, Ba 37 Pa 1166 from behind. Sunita was riding pillion.

Motorcyclist Ram Sharan KC, 46, sustained injuries in the accident. KC undergoing treatment at National Trauma Center.

Tanker driver is at larger. Police said they are investigating the case.
