Khabarhub organizing debate on Nepal-China border dispute today



KATHMANDU: Khabarhub, a trusted online news portal in Nepal, is organizing “Khabarhub Debate” on Nepal’s Border Dispute With China in Humla: Ground Reality and Implications this afternoon.

As many as 11 experts, including former ambassador, academia, among others, are invited to put forth their views on the Nepal-China border issue at the debate to be organized in the Pavilion Hall, Durbarmarg at 1 pm.

The debate program will be participated by Dr. Achyut Wagle, Professor at Kathmandu University, Rangamati Shahi, member of the House of Representatives, former Ambassador Vijaya Kant Karna, Analyst Arun Kumar Subedi, Political Analyst Devesh Jha, Civil Society Leader Ganesh Kumar Mandal and Chairman of Khabarhub Naresh Shrestha.

Likewise, Human Rights Activist Indra Aryal, Dr Uddhab Pyakurel, Assistant Professor at Kathmandu University and Journalist duo Yuganath Sharma Poudel and Pankaj Das are participating in the debate.

The Nepal-China border dispute in Humla has been widely debated and has hit the headlines, of late.

The border monitoring team deployed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to study the Nepal-China border recently reached Hilsa in Humla and inspected border pillar at Limi Lapcha area in the district.

The officials travelled to Hilsa following the study visit of pillar no. 12 at Limi Lapcha in Namkha Rural Municipality-6.
