HoR meeting continues amidst UML obstruction

KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML has obstructed the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) Thursday. Speaker Agni Sapkota began the session despite the obstruction.

The HoR’s agenda Thursday is to pass two bills related to the budget.

Speaker Sapkota repeatedly ruled the UML lawmakers to take their seats but to no avail. UML lawmakers surrounded the well and chanted slogans.

The UML has been obstructing parliament meetings continuously, dissatisfied with the Speaker’s role in party split.
