Twelve injured in Surkhet bus mishap



SURKHET: Twelve people have been injured in a bus accident in Simta of Surkhet district on Wednesday morning.

A bus Na 7 Kha 6063 met with an accident at Bajedi Chaur in Simta Rural Municipality-4.

According to Inspector Kanak Shahi of the District Police Office, Surkhet, out of 24 passengers on board 12 got injured in the accident.

Shahi informed that four are in critical condition.

Some of the injured have been sent to Nepalgunj for treatment while others are undergoing treatment at Mahelkuna Hospital.

Police said that the accident took place when the brakes failed while coming to Jamune from Deuli Bazaar of Simta.

The bus had fallen about 15 meters from the road.

The police are investigating further for details.
