Japan wants to develop ties with Iran, says PM Abe

TOKYO: Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said his country wants to develop and maintain its friendly ties with Iran, media reports have said.

He said this during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Japan’s capital Tokyo on Thursday.

PM Abe also told Iranian Minister Zarif that Japan was concerned about growing tension in the Middle East. (Agencies)
