PM Deuba and Poudel hold talks, discuss Gen Convention, cabinet expansion

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Prime Minister of Nepal, has held a meeting with senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel on Thursday morning.

In the meeting convened at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Deuba and Poudel dwelled on the ongoing 14th General Convention, active membership dispute and the extension of the cabinet, said Baluwatar sources.

Leader Poudel alongside other leaders had reached Baluwatar to meet with Deuba this morning.

The meeting discussed ways to resolve the dispute related to active memberships in 21 districts, the sources have said.

The ward convention of the party which began from September 3 has not concluded yet. The ward convention has been held only in 56 districts out of 77.
