Madhav Nepal’s Unified Socialist to counter UML objection in parliament



KATHMANDU: The Madhav Kumar Nepal-led CPN -Unified Socialist has decided to oppose the main opposition CPN-UML in the House of Representatives.

Reacting to UML’s House obstruction objecting to the Unified Socialist’s presence in the parliament, Unified Socialist party lawmaker Birodh Khatiwada informed that his party has also decided to counter UML in the parliament pertinently.

Earlier, UML lawmakers had obstructed the first sitting of the Ninth Session of the parliament demanding the restriction of the lawmakers it had ‘dismissed’ from the party.

UML is dissatisfied at the Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota’s indifference to execute the party’s disciplinary action as it believes that made the formation of new party possible.

Alleging the formerly disgruntled leaders of the party violated the party whip by giving vote of confidence to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s government,UML had dismissed the lawmakers formerly protesting against then Prime Minister KP Oli ‘autocracy’.

Khatiwada stated that his party lawmakers will participate in the parliament meeting in a restrained manner and will protest if the UML seeks an excuse.
