NEPSE decreases by 60.02 points

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 60.02 points on Wednesday.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2876.59 points.

A total of 16.14 million shares of 225 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 6.64 billion.

The sub-index of the banking group decreased 32 points today.

Similarly, the sub-index of Development Bank Group decreased by 158 points, trade by 82 points, hotels by 64 points, hydropower by 53 points, finance by 97 points, and microfinance group by 67 points.

Shares of product group decreased by 188 points, others by 63 points, life insurance group by 421 points, and non-life insurance group by 328 points.

Shares of the largest life insurance company fell 6 percent today. Shares of Life Insurance in Sani have risen 10 percent despite the overall market slump.

The highest number of shares of United Modi Hydropower Company worth Rs 405.7 million has been bought and sold.
