Govt presenting 15 ordinances in federal parliament today

KATHMANDU: The government led by Sher Bahadur Deuba is tabling 15 ordinances, including those introduced by the then KP Sharma Oli-led government, in both the meetings of the federal parliament today.

Fifteen ordinances, including the ordinance on Political Parties Act, 2002 (Second Amendment) brought by the Deuba government, are being tabled in today’s parliament meeting.  The government had introduced the ordinance by ending the ninth session of the federal parliament on August 16.

The ordinance brought by the Deuba government had paved the way for the CPN-UML and the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) to split.

The Deuba government is making preparations to present the ordinance in the parliament through Home Minister Balkrishna Khand to give recognition to the division in accordance with the Constitution and the rules of the House of Representatives.

The federal parliament session is taking place at 4 pm today.
