NEPSE decreases by 44.18 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 44.18 points on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2936.60 points.

A total of 15.08 million shares of 222 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 7.49 billion.

Shares of Banking Group decreased by 33 points, Development Bank Group by 72 points, Trade by 54 points and Hydropower Group by 51 points.

Similarly, shares of finance group declined by 49 points, microfinance by 146 points, life insurance by 302 points, non-life insurance group by 290 points and product group by 133 points.

Shares of RMDC Microfinance and Ruru Hydropower Company fell more than seven percent today. Despite the decline in the overall market, the share of Sanima Life Insurance Company has risen by 10 percent.

United Mardi Hydro’s shares worth Rs 619.2 million have been bought and sold the most in terms of turnover today.
