NC Makwanpur Convention: 89 wards unopposed, elections in 13 wards

MAKWANPUR: Nepali Congress (NC) has conducted conventions in all wards of Makwanpur district.

The convention which started on Sunday in all 102 wards of the district concluded today.

According to party spokesperson Pradip Koirala, the officer bearers and members of ward working committees and regional representatives have been elected through the convention unopposed in 89 wards while elections have been held in 13 wards.

From the ward convention, ward chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretary, joint secretary, treasurer and members have been elected.

Similarly, the presence of 33 percent women in the committee has been ensured. According to party spokesperson Koirala, representatives of various castes, backward communities, minorities, Madhesis and Muslims have been elected.
