Maoist Center entrusts Pokhrel-led task force to suggest office bearers in central bodies



KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has decided to entrust the task force led by Giriraj Mani Pokharel with the responsibility of recommending office bearers in the party’s central bodies.

A meeting of the Maoist Center Standing Committee (SC) held at the party’s central office in Paris Danda, Koteshwor, Friday tasked Pokhrel-led task force to submit a report after holding necessary discussions regarding fulfilment of posts in the party’s central bodies.

Maoist Center Spokersperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said the task force was given 5 days to submit its report on the issue.

Likewise, the meeting decided to inform all levels in the party within five days about the Election Rules and Code of Conduct as well as Guidelines in relation to activities to be conducted such as membership distribition, renewal and ward conventions, among others, before and for the national convention.

The Maoists Center’s national convention has been slated for December 26-28.

Spokesperson Shrestha stressed that the government need to hold talks with India regarding the disappearance of a Nepali national in the Mahakali River. On Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact, he said the party’s upheld its previous stance.
