NEPSE decreases by 50.13 points today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 50.13 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2926.89 points.

A total of 18.10 million shares of 230 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 9.50 billion.

Similarly, the index of Banking group has decreased by 16 points, development bank by 186, finance by 113, hotel and tourism by 11, hydropower by 116, investment by 3, life insurance by 359, manufacturing by 131, microfinance by 23, non-life insurance by 235, others by 36 and business group have declined by 38 points.

The prices of Sanima Life Insurance and Manakamana Smart Microfinance have increased by 10 percent on Thursday.

Both companies are currently enlisted in the NEPSE. After today’s trading, the price of Manakamana has reached Rs 503 per share and Sanima Life has reached Rs 339.90 per share.

Prices of Chandragiri Hills and Khanikhola Hydro increased by 5 percent. Narayani Development Bank decreased the most by 6.8 percent. Corporate Development Bank and Arun Kabeli decreased by 6 percent.

Arun Valley Hydropower topped the list in terms of turnover.

Shares of the company worth Rs 570 million were bought and sold, while Api Power had a turnover of Rs 329.9 million.

Ngadi Group Power, United Modi, Himalayan Distillery also managed to be in the top five in terms of turnover.
