DANG: Two people have died and two others have gone missing after a Scorpio car was swept away by floods in Dang district.

The deceased have been identified as two sisters Sushila Shrestha, 32, and Radha Shrestha Kunwar, 30, of the same family of Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City-13.

The incident took place when they were returning home after purchasing goods from Rupaidiha, a small town in India.

Police have rescued the driver. His leg has been broken and is undergoing treatment at Rapti Academy of Health Sciences.

Similarly, Ritamaya Pun, 40, and Ghorahi-13, and Bimala KC, 42, of Ghorahi have gone missing in the incident, said DSP Mukunda Prasad Rijal, the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Dang.

Police said they are searching the missing people.
