Bagmati’s Minister for Social Development Khanal resigns

KATHMANDU: Minister for Social Development of Bagmati Pradesh Krishna Prasad Sharma Khanal has tendered his resignation from his post.

Minister Khanal who was appointed as the minister from the CPN-UML resigned from his post this morning after he decided to join Madhav Kumar Nepal-led CPN (Unified Socialist).

With the resignation by Khanal, now there are only Minister for Internal Affairs and Law and Physical Infrastructure Development Keshav Raj Pandey including Chief Minister Asta Laxmi Shakya.

A total of 12 provincial lawmakers including Khanal of the Provincial Assembly of Bagmati Pradesh had joined the Unified Socialist on Tuesday.
