KATHMANDU: American Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry has been concerned by Nepal’s latest activities seeking to constrain the free flow of information.

Ambassador Berry, in a tweet, said that he is concerned by the Nepal government’s latest actions, laws or regulations that intend to gag the free flow of information.

It is unfortunate to see such anti-democratic activities taking place despite Nepali leaders’ repeated commitment towards democratic freedoms, said Berry, adding, ” Freedom of the press is a fundamental part of any democracy.”
