BPKIHS Registrar Regmi resigns



KATHMANDU: Registrar Dr. Mohan Chandra Regmi of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) has resigned from the post to help the government investigation into problems and irregularities at the facility.

Dr. Regmi tendered his resignation Friday. He shared that he resigned to help the government’s investigation.

Earlier, a high-level government task force formed to study the problems at BPKIHS, Dharan, had recommended action against the officials after it found that the income of the institute and educational standard was gradually on the decline.

After that, the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has carried out a raid at the facility on August 12.
