NC condemns attack on media

KATHMANDU: The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) on Monday said its attention has been drawn towards vandalism at the Birgunj-based office of Avenues Television.

“Any sort of licentious acts against mass media is highly condemnable,” NC Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma said in a statement, “Attack on media and a bill registered to curtail press freedom are attempted to dishearten and control media.”

NC has demanded the government book those involved in the vandalism.
