MELAMCHI: Health supplies have been provided for the survivors of this year’s monsoon floods in Sindhupalchowk.

An organization called Onestep Foundation, in coordination with the Global Adventure Inclusive Organisation founded by Nepali female Everest summiteers, distributed health materials to 500 households affected by floods in Melamchi Municipality, and Helambu and Panchpokhari rural municipalities.

Foundation Chair Dr Suman Shumser Thapa handed the assistance materials to the officials of three local governments.

He said the health materials which also include medicines were distributed for survivors of natural disasters with the objective of promoting the people’s basic rights during the crisis.

According to him, a community hospital has been established at Thapathali targeting the urban poor living in the capital, and such a kind of hospital will be set up in Jajarkot too in the near future.
