Malaysia arrests 22 migrant workers for breaching labor rules



KATHMANDU: The Malaysian government has intensified its arrest on the foreign migrant workers including Nepalis for violating labor rules, of late.

The Malaysian government arrested 22 foreign migrant workers on Wednesday alone, according to the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

Out of 36 people who were rounded up for investigation, 22 were found to have breached the labor investigation, according to the Immigration Department.

Two women and 20 men are among those arrested. They were arrested from different places including Putrajaya, Bandarbaru, Bagi Simoniya.

Earlier, in the last week, the Immigration Department had arrested 111 migrant workers
