Nepal sees 3,075 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 3,075 new cases of coronavirus while 2,126 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 2,321  were detected through RT-PCR method and 754 from antigen-method.

There had been 16,438 tests carried out in past 24 hours out of which 11,946 were RT-PCR tests and 4,492 were antigen.

Likewise, there are 639 cases in Kathmandu, 101 in Bhaktapur and 127 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 867.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 33 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 10,429 in the country.
