MoHP calls for waiver of fees for QR code certification

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has urged the concerned authorities not to charge the service-seekers money for the certificate issued with QR Code to those receiving vaccination against COVID-19.

Joint-Spokesperson at the MoHP Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said that the Ministry issued a press statement Monday and urged for the same.

The Ministry’s attention was drawn towards the matter when the news of some manpower companies charging the foreign employment hopefuls for issuing certification of vaccination with QR code came to their knowledge, read the statement.

Some service-seekers had complained that they had to pay fees for online forms to obtain vaccination cards with QR code.

The Ministry has also warned of punitive action against those manpower agencies or individuals charging fees for vaccination cards with QR codes.RSS
