BANKE: Two people were killed when a truck hit a motorcycle at Gabhar along the East-West highway in Banke district this morning. The Truck (Na 6 Kha 6799) was heading towards Kohalpur when it knocked on the motorcycle (Lu 6 Pa 1822).
The accident took place at around 8.0 am at Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality, the Area Police Office, Kohalpur stated.
The deceased are Chetan Bohora and Pradip Chaudhary of Bansgadhi, Bardiya. Critically injured in the mishap, the two breathed their last at the Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur.
The police have impounded the truck and its driver for necessary investigation.
