Nepal records 2,624 new COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley records 795 new cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,624 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 13,573 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 1,947 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while 677 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 20 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded 795 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

Out of them, 535 were detected in Kathmandu, 164 in Lalitpur, and 96 in Bhaktapur districts.

Meanwhile, 1,320 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
