Prabhu Bank’s net profit crosses Rs 2 billion

KATHMANDU: Prabhu Bank has made a net profit of Rs 2,110,600,000 in the fiscal year 2077/78 BS.

In the previous fiscal year 2076/77, the bank had accrued Rs 1.19 billion in net profit. The profit of the fiscal year 2077/78 BS is surplus by 68.45 percent.

According to the company, the bank is distributing 1.48 billion among its shareholders, which comes around 13 percent.

This year, the bank has witnessed balanced growth in interest income, fee and commission income and business income. The amount to be allocated by the bank in imperial charge has gone down this year.

The bank has significantly improved its non-performing loan ratio this year. The ratio has come down to 1.68 percent from 3.15 percent in the previous year.

The bank’s cost of funds is 4.70 percent and the base rate is put at 6.88 percent.
