NRB introducing monetary policy at 4 pm today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is introducing monetary policy today after a delay of almost one month.

Despite the budget coming through the ordinance in the pre-determined time, the monetary policy has been delayed due to the change of government.

NRB is currently holding a meeting of its Board of Directors. Monetary policy is likely to bring in programs to take further initiatives to prevent and control the coronavirus epidemic.

NRB’s Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari is scheduled to make the monetary policy public at 4 pm.
